Today, with the addition of Verkada’s alarm solution, we are delighted to announce that the entire Verkada platform is now available in the UK and through Europe. From single-site retailers to large hospitals, organizations in these countries are now able to leverage the power of Verkada’s comprehensive platform.
Verkada Alarms: Cloud Managed Intrusion Detection
Verkada Alarms is a suite of cloud-managed intrusion sensors and professional monitoring that makes it easier for organizations to detect, verify, and respond to threats in real time.
Like all Verkada products, Alarms is built on Command, our web-based platform that makes it easy for organizations to manage physical security across all locations. Sites and users can be set up in minutes, with no service charges for setup or configuration changes. Users can see at a glance which sites are armed or disarmed, any recent incidents and the status of each alarm device.
Sites can be armed or disarmed with a single click, and administrators can customize an unlimited list of contacts to be notified in an emergency.
24/7 peace of mind
Real-time visual context can be extremely useful when an alarm is triggered and an incident is potentially in progress.
Verkada Alarms includes professional 24/7 monitoring with unlimited video verification built into the Alarms license. When an alarm is triggered, organizations can choose to send video footage of the event to a team of trained security experts ready to investigate and respond to the incident.
If there is no visible threat, agents will reject the event, helping organizations avoid false alerts. If agents determine that the threat is legitimate, they will immediately notify an organization’s pre-screened contact list via phone, text or email.
In the UK and Irelandofficers can also contact emergency services directly if there is a visible threat underway, as well as send live video links to police to provide crucial context on what is happening on the spot.
Complete building coverage
Since Verkada products integrate seamlessly with each other, events from any Verkada device can be used to trigger an alarm. A person appearing in front of the camera after hours, a forced door or an increase in noise level can all be set up as alarm triggers.
For organizations that want even more comprehensive building coverage, Verkada offers wired and wireless intrusion detection sensors, including door contact, motion detection, glass break, and air leak sensors. water.
The BP41 alarm panel includes 32 wired inputs and allows organizations to pull data from their existing wired sensors into Command. The panel also has two outputs for connecting devices such as sirens or strobe lights, which can be activated remotely via Command to deter intruders.
Verkada’s wireless sensors connect through the BH61 wireless hubwhich uses our proprietary wireless communication protocol optimized for range, battery life and network security.
To ensure alarm devices stay connected in the event of a power or internet outage, our Cellular backup module provides redundant connectivity via an integrated multi-carrier SIM card with automatic failover to multiple LTE networks.
