Cambridge Police responded to the Cherry and Harvard Street area for a ShotSpotter activation. Two Cambridge residents were shot and wounded.

VAN NORDEN ST
Cambridge Police responded to a residence on Van Norden Street for an ongoing break and enter. Upon arrival, it was determined that a resident’s property had been stolen from a locked shed. A search of the area returned negative results for all suspects.

WARWICK PK
Cambridge Police responded to Warwick Park after a resident reported suspicious activity on their property. A brief search of the area and an investigation led to the arrest of Keith Thoresen, 35, 17 Court Street in Boston. Thoresen will be charged with Possession of Burglary Tools, Receiving Stolen Property and Theft under $ 1,200. Thoresen was found near the victim’s residence and was in possession of their property and burglary tools. In addition, the theft was observed by a neighbor, who then called the police. Thoresen was found in possession of a Gap leather backpack with tags still intact without proof of purchase or a reasonable explanation of how he acquired it. Thoresen was also found with a pair of snowshoes without proof of purchase. Thoresen said these items were given to him.

Complaints to be brought to Cambridge District Court against a Cambridge resident accusing her of possession of a Class A substance – fentanyl. Officers responding to a report of an unwanted woman in the back of the 800 block of Massachusetts Avenue and found the accused and prominently among his belongings observed a baggy containing a substance believed to be fentanyl .
